United to End Cancer

Shaping New Models

Building on what we learn

The moon shots address a number of different diseases, but they share a single goal: end cancer. Your support of the Moon Shots Program will enable MD Anderson to rapidly advance progress in these 12 areas: B-cell lymphoma, breast and ovarian cancers, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, colorectal cancer, glioblastoma, human papillomavirus-related cancers, lung cancer, melanoma, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndrome and acute myeloid leukemia, pancreatic cancer and prostate cancer.

Our findings will have applications for all cancers.

Disease impact

Along with causing the tragic loss of more than 8 million lives every year, cancer is the world’s costliest disease. A 2010 study estimated its annual global economic impact at $1.6 trillion. Help MD Anderson reduce these devastating numbers.
